It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds. Samuel Adams
As government grows, freedom shrinks. Devote at least one hour of your time every week. Letters, emails, phone calls, public protests, participation in a local group and supporting candidates who really believe like you do are the only hope to restoring our country. Together We Stand, Divided We Fall.
Private property is the beginning of wealth creation. Watch this video for some scary realities of what these planners are doing. 50% of the U.S. will be controlled by them. http://www.takingliberty.us/Narrations/usa/usa/player.html
Those who study nations that fall into communism through legislation identify three key components. They must control health, wealth and the media. With two down where does that leave us? We are beginning to see a steady crescendo of vilifying media. The end of our Republic, the beginning of slavery.
Mark Twain famously said, "No man's life, liberty or property is safe when Congress is in session." Congress is in session and once again, our liberty is at risk. This time, it is a bill called the DISCLOSE bill.
The DISCLOSE bill is the liberal's response to the Supreme Court's decision in the Citizens United case. This bill would limit spending on political issues by corporations but not by Unions. It exempts large political groups from it's burdensome requirements yet buries small groups (like your average Tea Party group) with regulations that could put the groups or even individuals in legal jeopardy. The DISCLOSE bill has exemptions for media corporations (I.E. the main stream media) political speech, but not for the new media and bloggers.
This bill is another obscene attack by the left on the First Amendment. It is a bill designed to shut down political speech by mostly conservative groups, while allowing mostly liberal groups to continue on. This bill must be stopped.
Once again, we must take time to call our Senators and tell them to stop this attack on the First Amendment. Harry Reid is going to try and end debate on this bill either late today or tomorrow in what is called a cloture vote. We only need 41 votes to defeat Reid and this bill. Call your Senator today and tell them to vote against this bill every time it comes up, including voting against cloture.
In addition to calling your Senators, here are a few others to call that might help stop this bill:
Senator Olympia Snowe(202) 224 5344
Senator Susan Collins(202) 224 2523
Senator Blanche Lincoln(202) 224 4843
Senator Lindsey Graham(202) 224 5972
If all 41 Republicans vote against this bill, it will die. Chances of death improve if one or more Democrats can be persuaded to vote against it (which is why Blanche Lincoln's name is in that list of people to call).
Two years ago, would we have believed it would be necessary to call our elected officials every week, just to save our basic constitutional rights? This is why elections are important and this is why the elections this fall are so important. But they are still over 90 days away. Today, we must call again so that the Senate does not repeal the 1st Amendment!
In a bid to stem taxpayer losses for bad loans guaranteed by federal housing agencies Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac, Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn) proposed that borrowers be required to make a 5% down payment in order to qualify. His proposal was rejected 57-42 on a party-line vote because, as Senator Chris Dodd (D-Conn) explained, "...passage of such a requirement would restrict home ownership to only those who can afford it."
So the ability to buy a home has nothing to do with the ability to afford it. Dodd considers home ownership a right that is void of any responsibility. Remember the woman who said she won't have to pay her bills now because Barak was elected? We laughed. I am dumbfounded.
And this from our friend Jay Privette: Well hurrah, hurrah! Wall Street reform has passed and we are all safe from those wicked capitalists that just want to make money on the sweat of the working class (I’m not sure that sounds Marxist enough to describe the situation?). We are certainly guaranteed there are a few surprising details buried in yet another 2000+ page bill few legislators had time to read before they had to pass it or the country would fall into “The Great Abyss”.Thousands of Wall Street experts still aren’t sure how the terms of the bill can be interrupted, so why should we bother to figure it out.It makes one wonder why companies are hesitant to invest all that cash they are “hording”, or are they just keeping it from uncertainty?
The two institutions most responsible for the home finance collapse (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac), are not covered by this reform. In fact, last Christmas Eve while most of us were probably not paying attention, Congress declared Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had unlimited backing by the Federal Government (you the tax payer). To top it off, the two biggest backers of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac at the time of the mortgage collapse are the authors of this new regulatory bill (Chris Dodd and Barney Frank). A regime focused on government control of the economy couldn't have picked two better people to write this bill. So, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (those once great investor titans whose stock evaluations have fallen so much since being managed by the government that they were dropped from the NY Stock Exchange) can underwrite mortgages for any amount they want because you will pick up the tab if the mortgage holders don’t pay. Great!Hardly makes it worth playing by the rules any more, does it?Just borrow money you can’t afford and let the tax payers (who have no voice in the matter) pick up the tab if you walk. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac still underwrite the vast majority of the mortgages in the country.
Other institutions will come under the watchful eye of Timothy Geithner, the Treasury Secretary that didn't pay his taxes for four years because Turbo Tax scammed him. If in the opinion of Timothy Geithner any institution he deems "too big to fail" is in danger of going under, the government can take them over just like they did GM, no questions asked. That will force the government (tax payers) to again pick up the tab for failure. Timothy doesn't even have to consult with Congress if he feels it isn’t necessary. How about buying some stock now and risk getting screwed like the preferred stock holders of GM. (no wonder money is tight. Investors have no idea what is going to happen tomorrow.)
I know, banks are to form a BIG FUND to pay for a banking failure, but guess who in reality is going to pay for this BIG FUND?You.
The article I pulled this from is here. http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=181961 Well worth the read but for now. This guy has an outstanding background and education. He actually believes in the constitution and has said that Obama wants to make us hurt so that we will come begging to the government for help.
"........If you make the economy and the misery bad enough, this is how you get to socialism and communism. You'll have enough people who are so desperate for help, that the government at the time can get people behind any kind of crazy ideas." Herman Cain (the Herminator) Does this quote sound familiar? If not read here. "They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so future-less in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future". Saul Alinsky Anyone who takes the time to observe this administration knows what they are doing. Herman Cain is either paraphrasing Rules for Radicals or he is just telling it like it is.
This video is from his senate campaign which he lost. How simple, yet profound. The real kicker is...he is a former chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City...and he wants to get rid of the IRS and implement the Fair Tax.
The U.S. Government has begun its attack on the Free Internet. As expected they will claim there are illegal activities that justify their actions. This is the first step of an incremental process to control the internet. You will begin to hear more and more about how they needed to take these actions because of criminal activity. Some will be true, most will be lies.
You can check just one of the many articles available; http://torrentfreak.com/u-s-authorities-shut-down-wordpress-host-with-73000-blogs-100716/
Here is the reason I believe that most of this will be lies. As you will read in the article the government shut down a whole host server that had 73,000 blogs on it. That is Seventy Three Thousand! Were all of them doing illegal activity. Doubtful. Was the provider allowing illegal activity, maybe. Soon we will know. At any rate we also know that the Gov. can shut down 1 IP address so why the whole gamut? It must be either something with the service provider or it was a test run. If it was the service provider we should see an indictment. Since this has not happened what are we to expect. Lots of speculation at this point but one thing is sure, if it happens again we should be VERY concerned.
I mentioned in a several previous posts that we should be expecting this to happen. If it increases from here let this be the warning. I believe there must be something wrong with the provider causing this action. Why? Why create a major stir when they can shut down one IP at a time.
This is one reason I am saying if you have money you should be funding activities that fight this government with all legal means possible while we have the chance! Here is the story I posted about why you should give. http://lexington.bravelog.com/entry/61735
Should have, for example, the NAACP considered the Christian Church - a pillar of its strength for scores of years – to be an enemy due to the Ku Klux Klan’s decades-long extreme activities in the name of upholding its twisted definitions and use of Christianity? Does the NAACP consider the Black Panther Party – an organization that was revered in the 1960s for feeding hungry inner city children and educating them to fill in the gaps that grossly-mismanaged school systems created – an obstruction for advancing the plight of the disadvantaged because of the hatred emoted by two of its members at a Philadelphia polling site? If isolated incidents castigate a movement in one regard for the NAACP, does it always? Has the NAACP merely not heard about examples such as these in the recent past or have they willfully determined to cast aside civil rights for all as demarcated in the Constitution and defended by its founders and ancestors for the hollowness of partisanship and the subjectivity of self-defined meanings of ethics, equality, and fairness in today’s America?
On “The Power Table” segment of the Sirius-XM Radio show “The New School”, (check local listing for air times starting this weekend at www.xmradio.com ), McAllister further challenged the NAACP. In specifically noting the president of the organization (Mr. Ben Jealous), McAllister noted the organization’s plans for a march in October to denounce the racism in the Tea Party Movement by challenging the NAACP to invite African-American Tea Party activists and speakers to actively participate in the event, including speak to the gathered in a show of unity against racism and for more pressing issues impacting African-Americans and the nation as a whole.
“You may not want to invite me to speak there,” McAllister noted on the show with “The New School” host and author (“TANTRUM”) Charles D. Ellison, “…but there are enough Black Tea Party patriots to invite to show unity…instead of having the NAACP throw out racially-tense bombs in the same manner they accuse the Tea Party (Movement) of doing without resolutions…we need more builders (of unity), not destroyers, in today’s America,” McAllister stated during his guest appearance.
During McAllister’s appearance on NPR’s “Tell Me More” on Thursday (check local listings for air time in your area or search for the audio clip at www.npr.org ), he also passionately addressed statements made by Tea Party Express national spokesman Mark Williams. Williams was quoted earlier in the week during an interview on NPR as saying that, “(In the NAACP), (y)ou're dealing with people who are professional race-baiters, who make a very good living off this kind of thing. They make more money off of race than any slave trader ever. It's time groups like the NAACP went to the trash heap of history where they belong…”
“That (Williams’ statement) is why many Black people cannot relate to the Tea Party,” McAllister said in a passionate exchange with a fellow Tea Party activist during the interview. “Too many of us Tea Party patriots have too much gutlessness to flat-out call Williams’ comparison of the NAACP to the horror of the slave trade as incorrect and inappropriate…and as long as we don’t have to guts to call out Tea Party leaders (when they say these things), African-Americans will continue to not engage the Tea Party at a time when its message is the very thing needed to save Black America from the big government, bureaucratic measures that have (crippled) us for 50 years.”
Interestingly enough, McAllister recently accepted an invitation to participate in a historic discussion to address race in the Obama Era in honor of the 40th year celebration of Essence Magazine, one of the leading African-American publications in the world. McAllister will be a part of the roundtable discussion that is slated to include other leading African-American thought leaders. The discussion will be featured on www.essence.com as well as be part of the historic magazine’s 40th year anniversary celebratory edition later in the fall.
Does this give you any indication of what kind of president we have? This amounts to treason. How can people believe this stuff? It shows they operate from an ideology -though skewed - just like anybody else. We must stand firm against the left. She just hates what we stand for just like Barak.
Call these senators who are on the judiciary committee and let them know you are adamantly opposed. Only one of these need to say yes to Obama and it is done. Lindsay Graham-nesty is the most likely yes. Call now and stop them!
